WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
YFN does not currently have a physical office. It facilitates dialogue on Whatsapp but it implements its activities in various districts ll’l Malawi. It currently has Zomba, Blantyre and Lilongwe Chapters, but will expand its chapters to other districts according to membership.
IS THE NETWORK ONLY FOR WOMEN?
No. YFN is open to everyone who is a feminist and believes in social justice for all regardless of their sex or gender.
ARE THERE ANY MEMBERSHIP FEES?
No. There are no membership fees required to be in the Network. YFN believes in inclusion and this involves removing financial barriers to participation.
IF I'M NOT A FEMINIST YET BUT WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT, CAN I JOIN?
YFN’s membership is only open to feminists We therefore advise interested applicants to have a grounding in the basics of feminism. While acknowledging that it is a learning an: unlearning process for us all, as a member of YFN we expect everyone to have at least elementary understanding of feminists definitions and issues, and to identify as a feminist.
I'M BUSY WITH WORK BUT I'D LIKE TO BE A PART OF YFN, CAN I JOIN ON A PART TIME BASIS?
No. YFN consists of members who have various other engagements outside of the network. However, YFN calls upon Only those passionate and fully dedicated to the cause therefore one may only join on a full time basis.
WILL I GET PAID? IS THERE A SALARY/ALLOWANCE?
Membership is strictly on a voluntary basis. No one within YFN receives a salary or allowance.
