YOUNG FEMINISTS NETWORK

Creating a safe space for Malawian youth to have dialogue regarding gender issues and human
rights, and to engage in activism for social justice.

Who We Are

About Us

THE YOUNG FEMINISTS NETWORK (YFN) WAS FOUNDED IN NOVEMBER, 2018. IT IS A NETWORK OF YOUNG MALAWIAN FEMINISTS WHICH SERVES TO ACT AS A PLATFORM FOR DIALOGUE, AND TO ENGAGE IN ACTIVISM FOR GENDER EQUALITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE.

It arose out of the realization that young Malawian feminists
do not have a single safe space to discuss issues affecting them and their country, and to come up
with effective solutions

ACTIVITIES

ACTIVISM

YFN is committed to fighting for the advancement of gender equality and social justice in society. Central to our activism is inclusion and diversity, and amplifying the voices of those who are often not heard. There is power in numbers and together, we can be agents of transformational change in our communities.

DIALOGUE

There can be nothing for the people without the people. YFN values dialogue in the creation of solutions. We therefore facilitate dialogue on feminism and social justice online as well as offline.

INFORM

In pursuit of our mission and vision, YFN believes it is our duty to spread information that is necessary in the fight for justice. Our efforts are channeled towards ensuring that there is access to information for all.
